I would first like to thank Laketra BFF for nominating me for this award. She truly deserve her nomination, as she continues to write beautiful, thought-provoking pieces.

I will keep the excerpt Laketra had on her post “According to Okoto Enigma, ‘Mystery Blogger Award is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging, and they do it with so much love and passion.’ ”

Instead of keeping what I originally wrote, which was a list of reasons why I do not deserve this, I will simply say thank you. The fact that you think I fall into this caliber of bloggers is so touching and means so much to me.

Once again, an excerpt of the rules “For this nomination I have to: thank whoever nominated me and include a link to their blog, tell my readers three things about myself, nominate bloggers I feel deserve the award, answer questions from the person who nominated me, ask my nominees 5 questions of my choice with one weird or funny one, and notify my nominees by commenting on their blog.”

Here are three things about myself:
1.) I moved from New York to Baltimore for a “change of scenery”.
2.) I am allergic to Sucralose (Splenda) and it causes anaphylaxis (fun!).
3.) I do not like roller-coasters.

Laketra’s Questions:

1.) Which celebrity would you pick to exchange lives with?
Being a celebrity sounds stressful, I would not want to exchange lives with any of them. If I had to choose, I think I would exchange lives with J.K. Rowling. She is kind of able to lay low, created a crazy, money-making franchise, and is very witty on twitter.

2.) If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose?
I am thinking 65! Why? Deep discounts, no one to impress, people just assume you are wise, and it is more acceptable to have an early bedtime.

3.) Biggest regret?
I have been thinking about this a lot. I lived somewhat of a sheltered life and I have always played it safe, I think I would have liked to take more risks. I think I am making up for it now, still very low stakes.

4.) How do you choose which topics to blog about?
Conversations, observations, current events, dreams, and late night thoughts.

5.) What do you love the most about blogging/being a blogger?
I love the fact that people actually still read and write. One of the thoughts that crossed my mind when I finally committed to creating my blog was “do people still even read?”. I know for myself, if you do not capture my attention in the first 7 seconds, I am over it. And if it is long, forget about it! Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, but I feel like technology has definitely shortened our attention spans. Yet, the fact that there are so many creative people who actually write stories or personal anecdotes with unique point of views and there are still so many people that read and support them, is amazing to me.
